واذ قال موسى لقومه. هذا هو الردّ المناسب عليهم : { وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّكُمْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ بِاتِّخَاذِكُمُ الْعِجْلَ فَتُوبُوا...} .

This is what is meant by, when they adopted perverseness, Allah caused their hearts to become perverse From this it automatically follows that the deviation of a person or nation is not initiated by AIIah but by the person or the nation itself
For a considerable period they were the greatest rulers of the civilized world, reigning supreme in Egypt and the surrounding territories Indonesia - Bahasa Indonesia : Dan ingatlah ketika Musa berkata kepada kaumnya "Hai kaumku mengapa kamu menyakitiku sedangkan kamu mengetahui bahwa sesungguhnya aku adalah utusan Allah kepadamu" Maka tatkala mereka berpaling dari kebenaran Allah memalingkan hati mereka; dan Allah tidak memberi petunjuk kepada kaum yang fasik• " That is, Allah dces not grant the favour of adopting the way of obedience to those, who have chosen the way of sin and disobedience for themselves of their own free will

هذا هو الردّ المناسب عليهم : { وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّكُمْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ بِاتِّخَاذِكُمُ الْعِجْلَ فَتُوبُوا...} .

But this also is the truth that the person who chooses a particular way for himself, cannot follow it practically unless AIIah provides for him the ways and means and creates for him the conditions which are necessary for following it.

وإذ قال موسى لقومه يا قوم اذكروا نعمة الله عليكم إذ جعل فيكم أنبياء وجعلكم ملوكا وآتاكم ما لم يؤت أحدا من العالمين
" In this state it is against the law of Allah that the one who wants to adopt deviation, and is actively and earnestly engaged in seeking it, and is expending aII one's thought and energy to move futher and further on towards it, should be forcibly turned towards guidance, for such an action would negate the object of the test and
وإذ قال موسى لقومه يا قوم لم تؤذونني وقد تعلمون أني رسول الله إليكم
If somebody chooses the way of obedience and guidance, AIIah does not push him forcibly towards deviation and disobedience; and if somebody is resolved to follow disobedience instead of the way of righteousness, it is not Allah's way to make him adopt the way of obedience and guidance forcibly
تفسير: (وإذ قال موسى لقومه إن الله يأمركم أن تذبحوا بقرة)
Here, allusion to these events is meant to warn the Muslims that they should not adopt the same attitude towards their Prophet as the Israelites had adopted towards their Prophet: otherwise they would meet the same fate as was met by the Israelites
But the law of AIIah is that He provides means of deviation only for the one who chooses deviation, so that be may go astray into whatever alleys he may like AIIah has granted man the freedom of choice
Dan seorang yang menjadi rasul itu seharusnya kalian hormati Ingatlah nikmat Allah kepadamu ketika diangkat-Nya padamu maksudnya dari golonganmu para nabi dan dijadikan-Nya kamu sebagai raja-raja yang mempunyai anak buah dan pelayan serta diberi-Nya kamu apa yang belum pernah diberikan-Nya kepada seorang pun di antara umat manusia seperti hidangan dari langit, manna dan salwa, terbelahnya lautan dan lain-lain

وإذ قال موسى لقومه يا قوم اذكروا نعمة الله عليكم إذ جعل فيكم أنبياء وجعلكم ملوكا وآتاكم ما لم يؤت أحدا من العالمين

English - Sahih International : And [mention O Muhammad] when Moses said to his people "O my people why do you harm me while you certainly know that I am the messenger of Allah to you" And when they deviated Allah caused their hearts to deviate And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people• Now, if a person is not at aII interested in seeking Allah's grace for righteousness, but seeks His grace for adopting evil, he is given the same.

هذا هو الردّ المناسب عليهم : { وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّكُمْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ بِاتِّخَاذِكُمُ الْعِجْلَ فَتُوبُوا...} .
People are generally inclined to regard the time of Moses as the starting point for the rise of the Israelites

Swahili - Al-Barwani : Na Musa alipo waambia watu wake Enyi watu wangu Kwa nini mnaniudhi nanyi mnajua kuwa hakika mimi ni Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu niliye tumwa kwenu Walipo potoka Mwenyezi Mungu aliziachia nyoyo zao zipotoke Na Mwenyezi Mungu hawaongoi watu wapotovu• mereka mengatakan bahwa Nabi Musa itu orang yang besar buah pelirnya atau berpenyakit burut, padahal kenyataannya tidaklah demikian, dan mereka pun mendustakannya padahal sesungguhnya lafal qad di sini menunjukkan makna tahqiq kalian mengetahui, bahwa aku adalah utusan Allah kepada kalian
